Nadezhda Lisak BA Calligraphy and Bookbinding, graduated in 1999 from The Roehampton Institute, London, and has worked as a professional calligrapher since 1998. Her commissions range from illuminated initials and manuscript books, to wedding invitations and scrolls.
Nadezhda showed instant flair in the art of the book during her studies, and secured her first manuscript book commission immediately after graduation. Her manuscript books have become her unique hallmark, creating highly original and beautiful books in a variety of genres.
Nadezhda’s previous clients include The International Star Registry and The London Scribes. She worked extensively for The Manuscript Pen Company, travelling around the UK giving demonstrations of her craft. She also designed a children’s calligraphy set, available from the Manuscript Pen Company, and appeared 3 times on Sky Television demonstrating the art of calligraphy.
In 2004 Nadezhda completed a family tree for the National Trust, measuring 4 metres by 1 metre. This can now be viewed at Croft Castle, Herefordshire.
Nadezhda also has wide teaching experience, working in the adult education sector, and tutoring one day workshops and masterclasses.
